We want you to get the help you deserve.

If you know Malissa, you will have heard her say 1000 times, “I love my job!”. Malissa has been passionately serving children, teens, families and adults in the mental health field for over 17 years. She graduated with a Masters Degree in Education and earned the highest standard in the profession, becoming Nationally Certified as a School Psychologist. She then practiced as a School Psychologist/Counselor for 13 years within the West Valley School District. During that time, she discovered her love for teaching and worked at Central Washington University teaching college students how to have a positive impact on the lives of children and their families. In 2018, Malissa decided to pursue another dream and became licensed as a Mental Health Counselor. She then opened her private practice, Wellness Counseling and Evaluation, PLLC. She continues to be passionate about creating a thriving community and is now an approved supervisor for mental health counselors in the state of Washington. When Malissa isn’t living out her professional dreams, she is enjoying time with her family. She has been married for 23 years and has two fun and energetic children. Family time means getting away to the mountains, boating, traveling, gardening or spending time on their hobby farm.

Tracy has been a counselor for over 18 years and is truly passionate about working in the mental health field. In 2004, she earned a masters degree in psychology from Chapman University with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy. After initially working in family preservation therapy and parent education, she found her way into schools. Most of her experience has been as a school counselor serving students and families struggling with life adjustments, anxiety, blended families, academic concerns and military life. While she loved serving in schools, one of her dreams had always been to open a private practice. World events and deeper awareness of mental health needs has increased the need for more mental health practitioners.  Seeing this need first-hand as a school counselor led Tracy to shift the focus of her work into private practice.  She is honored to work with Malissa Durbin and walk alongside clients as they move toward mental wellness.  Tracy finds work life balance by taking time for road trips, hiking and board games with her husband and their children.  She especially enjoys seeing her children find joy in their young adult lives and walking alongside her husband as he co parents those she lovingly calls her “bonus kiddos”.
